Modem Configuration
In order to use Mobile Internet by computer you must create appropriate connection between your mobile phone and the computer. It is necessary that operational system identify your mobile phone and Mobile Internet service is activated on your GSM number. *
Sometimes it is required to install special program (PC-Suite)** in computer, otherwise connection will not be established.
* In order to activate Mobile Internet on your GSM number please dial *106# and follow the instructions.
** When using PC-Suite create connection in your computer and enter the following information in appropriate windows:
Connection name: Geocell
Access point name (APN): internet
Phone number: *99#
Windows XP
Start menu => Settings => Control Panel => Phones and Modem Options => Modems choose your modem, push ”Properties” button, go to Advanced Extra Initializing Command and enter: ”AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","internet"
To create connection:
Start Menu => Settings => Control Panel => Network Connections => Create new Connection => Next choose "Connect to the Internet" => Next choose Setup my Connection Manually" => Next choose "Connect using Dial-Up Modem => Next choose your modem and push Next button
ISP Name: enter Geocell => Next
Phone Number: enter *99# => Next
Choose «Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop" and push Finish button
Then push”Dial” button and Internet access is ready.
Windows VISTA
Start menu => Settings => Control Panel => Phones and Modem Options => Modems choose modem and push ”Properties” => push “Change settings” button=> go to Advanced –category => then Advanced Extra Initializing Command and enter: ”AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","internet"
To create connection:
Start Menu => Network => Network and sharing center => Setup a connection or Network => choose "Connect to the Internet" => Next choose ”Dial Up" => choose your modem
Dial-up: enter *99#
Connection Name: enter Geocell
Then push”Connect” and Internet access is ready.
Note: To create “shortcut”-open: Start Menu => Network => Network and Sharing Center => Manage Network Connection => choose “Geocell” then choose “Create Shortcut” by pushing right button of your mouse and push “agree”.
