Social responsibility is our priority

An important part of the company’s operation is based on the principles of international social responsibility. A lot of projects done in this direction were inspired with this priority caring for cultural heritage, education and sport, promoting to integration of people with disabilities and organizing different actions and campaigns for environmental protection.
  • 2010 Year
    Geocell supports festival "Qartuli Suli". Concept of the festival was to display Georgian architecture, songs, folk and paintings.

    Social project "We can hear you" - Geocell supports disabled contest of beauty.

  • 2009 Year
    Geocell century project - Ikalto renovation is on its way to end. The main church is fully renovated. Besides the roof is completely changed.

    Georgian theater, music, movie and choreography museum - Geocell supported reopening of old reading room and library. All unique furniture were renovated.

    Geocell introduced to public Me-Ania project. The author is 22 year disabled girl, Ana Goguadze. She took 20 photos, all in disabled people's chair. The aim of this project was to make public remember, that it is very important to integrate disabled people in our society. Presentation was held in Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi.

    Geocell and Iavnana launches project "You go back to home", that supports returning homeless children to their homes. Every Geocell subscriber has a possibility to take part in this campaign and help homeless children, by sending sms to the number 3030.

    Geocell in emergency rout - Due to tragic events that took place in August, Geocell started to take care for refugees very actively. Geocell decided to care about those refugees who were in school number 103, and provided them with clothes, medicines, and everyday meal. Besides Geocell launched special refugee tariff plan, that enables them to speak with 9 Tetri tariff.

    Geocell started to make Geocell century project - Ikalto restorations and renovation. Company decided to take all restoration expenses and fully renovate the Monastery. And remember!. Being a Geocell subscriber means, that you are making charity in this century project.

    Geocell have taken new social responsibility "We can hear you". that helps disabled people - in easy and cheap communication possibility. Company hired several disabled people, and also made a new computer center for them.

    Geocell started tough cooperation with Paata Burchuladze charity fund "Iavnana" and helps lots of homeless families. By 3 May charitable campaign Geocell and Iavnana collected enough amount to purchase and present a new home for one homeless family.

    Geocell conducted its golden number auction - 877 777777 and 877 999999, from which it received 38 thousand Lari, that completely was gifted to Gldani Nadzaladevi region, homeless kids. The same year following golden number 855 555555 was sold with record price - 41 thousand Lari. Received amount was totally transferred to "Katarzisi", and by this campaign helped elder people. "Katarzisi" director mentioned that this was the greatest donation they had ever received.

    Geocell continues to support sport events. In 2005 Geocell sponsored the tournament that was held in Leila Meskhi Tennis Academy.

    Geocell took part in organizing the concert, that was held to support the victims of natural disaster, as well as helped them financially

    Geocell completed its largest charity action, intended to help victim families of Tbilisi Earthquake . Consequently, four families received two-room apartments in Tbilisi from Geocell

    Geocell together with popular singers and public authorities planted 1000 nut-trees in the vicinity of Tbilisi

    Geocell started to care of 17 people, who live at the end of Jikia str. already for 6 years, and hardly ever had food. Every evening Geocell bus stopped at the gates of their place, and brought food and some clothes for them.

    In spring in village Akura, Geocell planted 1500 trees. This campaign was hold together with "Green World" organization.
